The project Adam4Eve has had its final meeting in Hamburg on 9th of December 2015. Interesting results have been obtained and various documents can be downloaded from the website.

We are happy to announce that the registration for the ADAM4EVE workshop on Adaptive Ship Hull Forms is now officially open.

Join us in sharing and discussing new project discoveries, results and accumulated knowledge as well as participating in an interesting workshop on the topic of hydrodynamics. The workshop is free of charge and will be hosted by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland in Espoo on 4th of June 2015 (Morning until Afternoon).

As a special highlight, practical demonstrations are planned in the VTT field testing facilities to provide a practical insight into the subject matter. Moreover, the workshop will offer you an excellent opportunity to get in contact with developers and end users directly to discuss highly innovative solutions.

We are pleased to announce that ADAM4EVE project was selected by the European Commission to be featured in a dedicated article on R&D success stories. An article has been preapared and published by the Commission's services based on an interview conducted with the project coordinator, CMT (Centre of Maritime Technologies, Germany).

Under the headline „How smart materials could transform shipping in the EU“, tha article provides inshight into current shipbuilding market trends, ADAM4EVE project aims as well as its development and expected outcomes. 

The Adam4Eve consortium cordially invites you to join us at the workshop on innovative applications of glass structures in the maritime industry, organized by the Center of Maritime Technologies, taking place on October 2nd, 2014. in Hamburg, Germany.

The workshop aims to explore innovative application opportunities for glass materials in shipbuilding and offshore industry.

State of the art results in glass applications will be analyzed by researchers and industry and classification representatives, from their each individual perspective.  An overview of potential challenges which could prevent or decrease a wider use of glass in the maritime industry will be elaborated with a goal of finding alternatives for overcoming potential problems.

The workshop is dedicated to researchers, engineers and all professionals who are interested in the use of innovative materials, especially glass, belonging to one of the following sectors: producers and processors of glass, shipyards and offshore industry representatives, ship owners and ship operators, universities and research facilities and classification societies.

The first six successful months of the ADAM4EVE project resulted in a second gathering of all partners at the assembly meeting held in Bremen, Germany. The meeting took place in mid-June and was hosted by The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials.

The meeting was constituted of presentations and discussions on achievements made so far, needed corrective measures, schedule and future actions in material development, assessment and application case WPs as well as decisions on project management and promotion actions. Paulstra SNC (member of HUTCHINSON) and Rhebergen Composites BV, two new project partners were introduced the consortium.

The meeting was completed with and interesting tour of the Fraunhofer Institute and and an IPR workshop led by Mrs. Jing Shen (GUARDSHIP/SEAEUROPE).

Center of Maritime Technologies hosted the first Adam4Eve project meeting that took place in Hamburg, Germany in mid January, 2013. The meeting gathered representatives from 20 leading maritime companies and research facilities from several European countries. The participants made detailed plans for future development of the project. 

The first results of the Adam4Eve research are expected in the middle of 2013 and will be available on the official project`s webpage.
